She will also now have a set of car keys, which have an astronaut keyring on them. When she wakes back up, she is sitting on a throne, next to two decomposing Severed aliens, while her house is gone. A short segment follows, which sees her finally able to access the basement, where she finds a wheelchair and sits down in it, aging rapidly. Once you’ve collected all 6 Sun Face fragments, Selene will be able to enter her 20th century house one last time. You’ll now be able to return to the Act 1 world, as a mysterious machine is revealed in your ship, Helios, that lets you move between the two sets of biomes.

Selene will now start talking about having to put the Sun back together, and this means collecting a fragment of the Sun Face from Selene’s house across all 6 biomes in the game.

Returnal is available now on PlayStation 5.Once you’ve completed Act 2, and you watch a cutscene (opens in new tab) where Selene crashes a car with her child in it into a river, you’ll reawaken in the Overgrowth Ruins, the game’s fourth world. A final cutscene will play, and you’ll be done with the game’s story for good this time. Use the Car Key to unlock the sedan’s door and you’ll be treated to the secret true ending of Returnal. Jump down the hole after defeating the final boss, only this time follow the shining headlights to reach the abandoned sedan that you may have passed on your first victory run. Defeat the final boss once again and you’re almost at the secret ending of Returnal. With the Car Key in your inventory, fight your way through the game’s second act until you reach Ophion. Once you obtain the Car Key, you need to beat the final boss again. After completing this first-person segment, you’ll get the Car Key, a necessary item that you’ll need to see the true ending of Returnal. If you have all six fragments, you can see the final house story sequence in the Echoing Ruins. If you’ve seen most of the Echoing Ruins house sequences but the house locks you out because it’s “dark,” then you don’t have all the Sunface Fragments. Thankfully, Sunface Fragments are permanent items so you won’t lose them when you die. You’ll have to explore each region thoroughly to find the fragments as they’re often hidden toward the end of each biome. The map layouts are random, so we can’t tell you exactly where to find each of the fragments, but there is one hidden in each of the six biomes. There are six Sunface Fragments in total – one for each biome.

In Act 3 of Returnal, you can find new items called Sunface Fragments in each biome.
